Bush and eventually Barack Obama, Bongino details life inside the DC bubble, how it distorts the views of those inside it (including the President of the United States) and why he eventually felt compelled to leave this bubble to run for office.

Bongino tells of his experiences and introduces us to some incredibly dedicated people working to make the country a better place. More importantly, however, he documents how the buraucracy creates a lethargy that grinds the country to a halt and creates issues like the NSA collection scandal.
