There aren’t a great deal many Conservative comedians, so if Adam Carolla doesn’t tick all the boxes on your big C list, well, beggars can’t be choosers.
Comedian, TV personality and podcaster, Carolla currently hosts The Adam Carolla Show podcast.
He hit the big time when in 1999 with The Man Show on Comedy Central, which he co-created and co-hosted with Jimmy Kimmel. He went on to host The Adam Carolla Project on TLC and The Car Show on SpeedTV.
Carolla is a noted automotive enthusiast, a talented racing driver and car collector.
Carolla has also made appearances on Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Apprentice, staring Donald Trump.
Of his six published books, several have made the New York Times Best Seller list including In Fifty Years We’ll All be Chicks and Not Taco Bell Material.
Carolla has described himself at different times as both a Republican and a libertarian.
“I guess I would be Republican, in the sense that I want a secure border, I’m not into the welfare state, I’m not into all those freebie lunch programs,” he has said. “It just kind of demeans people.”
He is, however, in favor of more restrictive gun controls and alternative fuels.
Carolla is also a frequent political pundit and once hosted a weekly segment on Bill O’Reilly’s The O’Reilly Factor called “Rollin’ with Carolla.”
Carolla has made numerous guest appearances on political talk shows as a commentator. He hosted a weekly segment, “Rollin’ with Carolla”, on Bill O’Reilly‘s The O’Reilly Factor.
He summarized his politics as this: “My feeling is this whole country is founded on the principle of ‘If you are not hurting anyone, and you’re not fucking with someone else’s shit, and you are paying your taxes, you should be able to just do what you want to do.’ It’s the freedom and the independence.”
In a world where not participating in groupthink will get you cancelled, Carolla is fighting back in the name of America and comedy. Cancel culture, he told Tucker Carlson, is “destroying free speech and killing comedy.”
