Martin Luther King Jr was wrong. That, in a nutshell, summarizes critical race theory.
Proponents of this toxic theory of race will insist you don’t really understand CRT, but its foundational principles are quite simple.
MLK said, “Judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.” But CRT asserts that, fist and foremost, all decisions we make are the result of our racial identity.
America is inherently racist, it says, in its foundational structure and, as a result, the opinions of an individual can’t be judge on an individual basis. Individuals are only expressing ideas that are a part of their group – for the purpose of keeping their group in power.
Put another way, you are a racist because every structure in society is racist and is built by white people to keep white people in power. And supporting that structure is an endorsement of racism.
It is, ultimately, the Marxists theory of class warfare based on economic status, applied to race. It is not just a theory used to analyze the world, but a guiding principle to action, which teaches that the basic structures of society need to be torn down because they are inherently racist. It’s that simple. And it’s that evil.
