Despite his British accent, Mark Steyn is a Canadian author, though he was educated in the UK. You can often see him filling in for Tucker Carlson on Fox News and has historically also covered for Rush Limbaugh on his talk show.
Steyn is about as eloquent as they come and can ramble off a metaphor so complex it’ll give you pause for though before you laugh out lout at its genius.
In “America Alone” Steyn makes the argument that shifting demographics and unchecked borders have led to the Islamification of Europe and that America could be next. The same thesis was the basis of his 2007 essay “The Future Belongs to Islam,” published in Maclean’s magazine. This article brought about a complaint to the Ontario Human Rights Commission by the Canadian Islamic Congress. Eventually the OHRC did the Orwellian thing: they didn’t try the case but condemned Steyn anyway.
While books like American Alone are absolute must reads for any modern Conservative, Steyn might be best known for his decade-long legal battle with disgraced American climatologist Michael E. Mann. It dates back to a 2012 article Steyn wrote for National Review in which he referred to Mann’s works as data manipulation and called them fraudulent.
He contributed an essay to the book “Climate Change: The Facts” which includes 22 essays by experts drawing attention to the real-world impact of the climate agenda and calling into question the data that is so often presented as fact.
