Slanted: How the News Media Taught Us to Love Censorship and Hate Journalism

Regardless of network, the nightly news used to be a trusted source for facts about the world. No one believes that any more.

And the networks don’t even pretend it either. Even worse, they actively work to encourage censorship.

From a pre-packaged take on world events, the news media now participates in a fact checking process designed to tell you what’s true and what’s not, rather than present the facts and let you sort it out.

From Black Lives Matter, to Covid-19, Joe Biden and Big Tech censorship, Attkisson tackles the biggest topics of the day and interviews personalities and executives across numerous networks, all to show how the news is being controlled.

An Orwellian nightmare come true, she exposes how fake narratives, subtle lies and overt propaganda have combined to destroy journalism.

The Smear: How Shady Political Operatives and Fake News Control What You See, What You Think, and How You Vote

If you want to understand how the news really media works, this is the book for you.

Seasoned investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson details the dirty tactic of opposition research and how smear campaigns are used to bury stories, control the narrative and destroy lives.

This shocking book argues that almost everything you ever hear about anyone in power is the result of a smear campaign, crafted by special interests to control the narrative. And their success depends on the Smear artists ability to stay hidden.

Having been pitched numerous smear jobs during her three decades long career in investigative reporting, Attkisson outlines just how they work, the tactics used and how forces inside the political media sphere are pawns in their game.

Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington

Long time CBS reporter, Sharyl Attkisson left the network in 2014 and promptly wrote Stonewalled, detailing why she left, including shocking accusations that the Obama Administration was spying on her.

In this tell all book, she outlines with hard proof how the US government was spying on her computers just as she was investigating the many scandals of the administration. More overtly, she was the subject of tactical criticism online and government pressure on CBS designed to prevent her from investigating further.

A personal and cautionary tale, Attkisson also exposes the new depths to which the Obama Administration went to in order to launch surveillance operations on citizens, crush a free press, and how all of this is eroding the investigating journalism that democracy needs to survive.
