Columnist for The Wall Street Journal and contributor to both NBC News and ABC News, Peggy Noonan served in both the Regan and Bush Sr. administrations.

As a speechwriter for President Regan she penned his speech in the President’s address to the nation after the Challenger exposion.

She famously also penned President Bush’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in New Orleans in which he proclaimed, “Read my lips: no new taxes.” The words were powerful enough that his about-face on this policy may have cost him his reelection.

She’s served as consultant for the TV show The West Wing and in 2017 won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary.

Noonan has written several books about President Regan with five of them achieving New York Times bestseller status. A practicing Roman Catholic, somewhat surprisingly her political views are more center-right. She has publicly criticized President Trump and called for Democrats to ensure him as a result of the Muller Report. Trump discounter her and referred to her views as “simplistic.”

Critiqued as sometimes nostalgic, looking at Noonan’s earlier works, a better word might be naive.

When Character Was King: A Story of Ronald Reagan

President Ronald Regan changed America, and the world, for the better. But there’s far more to this legendary Republican than what the TV showed or the history books have gathered.

From inside the White House and beyond, Peggy Noonan has put together a book highlighting stories about Regan from the Secret Service men who protected him, White House staffers, his wife, his daughter and both Bush Presidents. And of course, she adds in plenty of detail from her own interactions with the President.

What I Saw at the Revolution: A Political Life in the Reagan Era

What was it like inside the Regan White House? Peggy Noonan reveals just that in “What I Saw a the Revolution.”

As special assistant to President Regan she recounts what it was like, and what it was like as a woman inside the halls of power.

John Paul the Great: Remembering a Spiritual Father

With numerous biographies of President Regan under her belt it should come as no surprise that Peggy Noonan has also put pen to paper to detail the life and times of Pope John Paul II.

Detailing his battle against Communism, his assassination attempt and the incredible mark he left upon the Catholic Church and the world, Noonan’s work is a powerful memoir of a great man.

Patriotic Grace: What It Is and Why We Need It Now

Perhaps once it was poignant and powerful. Now it seems naive.

In Patriotic Grace, Peggy Noonan calls for unity behind the President (whoever he is), an end to partisanship, and to find common ground amongst our rivals.

Is that even possible in today’s America?

A Heart, a Cross, and a Flag: America Today

A powerful collection of essays written in the year following September 11th, Peggy Noonan highlights what it was like to live in Manhattan at that time, how America focused on rebuilding and how the terror of that day brought faith back to New York City.

The Time of Our Lives: Collected Writings

A New York Times Best Seller, Peggy Noonan’s collection of essays “The Time of Our Lives” is a look back at her most memorable moments and columns.

Covering everything from drafting President Regan’s speech to the space shuttle Challenger explosion to the 2016 election and everything in between.

Included are some of her most biting criticisms and most humours columns. There are memoirs, personal battles, triumphs and more.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

On Speaking Well

Specific areas of focus including using logic to convince your audience, how to use humor, how to distill your complex ideas into simple one and more..

From the boardroom to the wedding reception hall, Noonan will show you how to win over any crowd.

The Case Against Hillary Clinton

A scathing critique of Hillary Clinton’s early years, if only Peggy Noonan had known what was to come would be much more terrible.

Written to help prevent Clinton from rising further in the ranks of the American political establishment, this book details the legacy of Clintonism until the time of publication, examining what does and does not quality her for higher office.

Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20 and the Hillary Clinton to come proved far worse than this book could possibly have imagined. Still, it’s worth a read to see how this scandal-prone individual came to be.
