Marco Rubio Books

Best known for his run in the Republican primary leading up to the 2016 election, Marco Rubio had considerable success but eventually dropped out of the running that saw Donald Trump win the ticket.

The son of Cuban immigrants who left the country under Fulgencio Batista before Fidel Castro came to power, his story speaks to those who aspire to the America Dream. In fact, he used this as the backbone of his campaigning for the Republican primary, seeking to reestablish the American Dream for working class immigrants.

His Cuban ancestry, traditional values and smart policy allowed him to rise to power, first getting into office in 1998 as city commission for West Miami. From there he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000 and went on to become the first Cuban American to be speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

A practicing Roman Catholic, Rubio has four children with his wife Jeanette.

A true Conservative Republican, Rubio has spent his political career fighting for limited government and minimal taxes. He has defended the second amendment and was often a vocal critical of Obama’s foreign policy decisions.

Despite many personal attacks on President Trump during the primary he backed the President after, supporting numerous initiatives and opposing the January 6th Commission.

An American Son: A Memoir

Rising from obscurity to playing a major role in US politics, Marco Rubio has surprised many in the political arena.

Published in 2012 just after he had been elected to the US Senate, his story coincided with his speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention and it became obvious, even then, that the Republican party was reestablishing itself as the party of the working man.

The son of Cuban immigrants, Rubio tells how his parents worked hard at blue-collar jobs to give him opportunities. While he dreamed of football, not politics, his career took the later path.

In this book he details his rise to successive political positions, starting as the West Miami City Commissioner and eventually winning his US Senate campaign as an outsider and a long shot.

Rubio’ story is that of the American dream. It’s still possible and he’s dedicated to making it that way for more working class Americans.

American Dreams: Restoring Economic Opportunity for Everyone

A followup to his 2015 memoir, Marco Rubio published America Dreams to coincide with his campaign to win the Republican nomination in the 2016 election.

A more overt political book, in it he goes into detail to attack the tax-and-spend ideas of the Democratic party and how these ideas have left more Americans behind, while falsely promising to lift them up.

From there he outlines a roadmap of how the country and restore opportunity, specifically, by slashing the nanny state, helping families save for college and retirement and how to promote the growth of small businesses – the backbone of the American dream.

As the same time, he campaigns for a return to traditional American values, both moral and practical ones that focus on hard work and a can-do spirit.

A perfect example of the life he wants to offer other Americans, Rubio wants to re-create a country where the children of blue collar workers can go on to be the doctors, lawyers, business owners (and yes, even politicians) of tomorrow.
