There aren’t many right wing comedians, meaning Greg Gutfeld really is a unique individual. Host of his own late night talk show Gutfeld! on (where else?) Fox News, he gives a lone alternative to the cabal of Lefties that dominate the late night spots on everything from CBS to NBC and more.

Gutfeld is also a panelist on Fox’s The Five show where he routinely monologues about the events of the day, with a humorous conservative/libertarian slant.

In addition to being a TV host and political commentator he’s also an author with a half-dozen books to his name, several of which are New York Times Best Sellers.

Gutfeld wasn’t always a Conservative. In fact, his opposition to the Left actually arose from the Marxism factory that is UC Berkeley. In his own words, Gutfeld says, “I became a conservative by being around liberals (at UC – Berkeley), and I became a libertarian by being around conservatives. You realize that there’s something distinctly in common between the two groups, the left and the right; the worst part of each of them is the moralizing.”

Raised a Catholic, he now identifies as an agnostic.

His career includes a history of senior positions at mainstream-verging-on-trashy publications, including running Stuff magazine and then Maxim in the UK. He was also editor-in-chief of Men’s Health. He was one of the very first contributors to The Huffington Post, writing there from 2005 until 2008. As is his style, during that time he wrote commentaries that were critical of his colleagues and even of Arianna Huffington herself.

Always on the offensive and definitely irreverent, it’s not surprising that his writing has drawn favorable reviews from the likes of Ann Coulter and Andrew Breitbart.

Gutfeld’s books are often brash, blowing past political correctness in titles like “The Bible of Unspeakable Truths.” He’s also written several books that tackle the art of the argument, including “The Joy of Hate: How to Triumph over Whiners in the Age of Phony Outrage” and “How To Be Right: The Art of Being Persuasively Correct,” two fantastic titles for anyone looking to add some debating tactics to their political discussions. And of course, he does it all with plenty of humor!
